                LONG-TERM SPACE SHUTTLE LAUNCH FORECAST

  NASA's Space Shuttle program is scheduled to perform its final mission 
  by the end of 2010, nearly 30 years after its initial launch.  This page 
  will track the launch schedule as the three remaining shuttle orbiters 
  fly out the final missions of the longest-lived U.S. human launch system.    
  
  This space launch forecast, like all such space launch schedules, 
  should not be considered anything but a vague long-term projection. 
  The dates, sequence, and even the total number of launches almost 
  certainly will be altered substantially as time passes.
